Economic Development

This plan element will identify the particular types of commercial and industrial uses desired by the City and specify the suitable location for the uses identified. This element will address job creation and retention, and provide a strategy to increase real wages, stabilize the local tax base, and maintain job diversification. This element will also include an assessment of the local housing conditions and project the future housing needs by housing type and price to ensure that a wide variety of housing structure types, occupancy types, and prices are available. A housing stock analysis along with an examination of the jobs/housing balance will be included in this element.
